What excites us about the industries we serve is that they are very diverse, from energy to specialty chemicals to biopharmaceuticals. All of our industries improve quality of life.
APPRECIATE MOST ABOUT YOUR COMPANY'S CULTURE/MISSION?
What I appreciate most about our company's culture/mission is that it is held in high regard by the president of Proconex. When leaders keep culture at the forefront, it has a trickle effect, which is felt throughout the organization on a daily basis.
HOW DID YOUR COMPANY FIRST CONNECT WITH PENN COLLEGE?
We first connected with Penn College when we hired a field service technician for our NEPA (Northeast Pennsylvania) office in Towanda. We realized this was a great resource for recruiting in that area. We also came to realize that one of our field service engineers in our headquarters in Royersford, PA, Sam DiOttavio, attended Penn College. We were convinced that Penn College graduates were ideal for recruiting in that area as well.
WHY DO YOU BELIEVE PENN COLLEGE IS A SOUND INVESTMENT? WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR RETURN?
We believe Penn College is a sound investment because we have hired a few people for our field services teams. Our return has been approximately one hire per career fair.
WHAT QUALITIES DO YOU VALUE MOST WHEN RECRUITING PENN COLLEGE STUDENTS AND ALUMNI?
The qualities we value most when recruiting Penn College students and alumni are their technical skills and in many cases their culture fit for our companies.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU SHARE WITH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO ARE CONSIDERING PENN COLLEGE?
Advice I would give to high school students considering Penn College would be to keep an open mind and explore many alternatives when you are young.
