Since 1935, Murray Associates Architects has had a reputation for sustainable innovative design by providing clients with an optimal long-lasting financial return on their investment in planning, design, and construction. They provide sustainable designs for higher education, private K-12, corporate, hospitality, government, and retail clients.
Murray designed most spaces on Penn College's campus, starting with Campus View Apartments in 1997. Madigan Library, the Davie Jane Gilmour Center, and Dauphin Hall are signature new buildings, and we have expanded most of the other buildings on the campus. Our most recent project was our second expansion of the Metal Trades Center (MTC), completed in 2019.
Penn College students work well in a team environment. They have excellent design and communication skills, strong problem solving abilities, and good technical skills including being proficient with Revit and Sketch-up.
Murray is the oldest design firm in the region, with 87 years of award winning projects. Additionally, we focus on sustainable design to preserve our planet and we are deeply vested in the latest technologies, such as point-cloud scanning and virtual reality.
Architecture is not only about the design. Equally important are your math skills, following directions all the times, handling multiple tasks at a time, and having a personality that is collaborative as you must work with others and their disciplines.
