I love being in the healthcare industry because I love knowing that we are helping people stay home and receive the best care that they need and deserve while being comfortable around family and friends in their own environment.

Bayada has created it's own culture. All who work for Bayada know and understand that, and it becomes a way of life. Our mission is to help people have a safe home life with comfort, independence, and dignity. Bayada provides nursing, rehabilitative, therapeutic, hospice, and assistive care services to children, adults, and seniors worldwide. We care for our clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We have offices just down the street from Penn College. We have been working with the college for the past couple of years as well as their branch campus in Wellsboro. We have always known about Penn College because of our proximity to it. However, it has been in the more recent years that we have been able to utilize more recruiting efforts and partner with Penn College. We are excited about our future with this school.

Penn College has proven to be a sound investment for us because we see the quality of students that come out of their programs. It is great having a school in our back yard to connect with and partner with on different avenues that we have pursued. Since working with Penn College, we have attended job fairs, presentations, and housed LPN students for SIM days in our labs. We look forward to working with Penn College in the years to come to build a more solid relationship/partnership.
 

We are always looking to hire the best of the best. We look for someone who is dedicated, teachable, and dependable. Bayada has an excellent training program for new nurses right after they graduate. We appreciate that Penn College has been open to allowing us to speak with these students about homecare and give them this opportunity that often gets overlooked for students in nursing school. Homecare is a different type of nursing that can be very rewarding for some nurses. We appreciate the opportunity to speak with these students about that opportunity.

Ultimately it is the same advice that I give to students when asking them to consider Bayada. Do your research. Ask yourself what you are looking to get out of school. Do you like the location? Can you see yourself living here or attending here for the next 2-4 years? At the end of the day, they have to be happy. My experience has been nothing, but great working with Penn College. I would strongly suggest they consider it as a great option.
