Q&A with Morgan

WHY PENN COLLEGE?

The atmosphere of Penn College drew me into coming here. I knew at the very beginning that I did not want to go to a large college. When I came to visit the campus I immediately knew this was the college for me.

DID YOU RECEIVE ANY SCHOLARSHIPS?

Yes! I earned the Penn College Dual Enrollment scholarship, a Career and Technical Education scholarship, and one from the Centre County Community Foundation.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE ASPECT OF CAMPUS?

The Penn College campus is a very welcoming campus. Everyone is so friendly and are always willing to help.

HOW DID PENN COLLEGE DUAL ENROLLMENT PREPARE YOU FOR THE REAL DEAL?

Balancing high school classes with college coursework taught me a lot about time management. I needed to prioritize my more demanding college-level class while also completing my high school assignments.

WHAT OTHER WAYS DID YOU BENEFIT FROM THE DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSE?

Taking the Penn College Dual Enrollment course helped me prepare for the road ahead. It was a lot less stressful starting college in fall because I had experience managing a higher level class. So I knew what to expect and was ready for the rigor to come.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR AFTER GRADUATION?

After graduation I plan to either go to school and become a Physician Assistant, or get my Master's in Nursing Education.

Real-World Ready

"Penn College was the only school I visited and the only place I applied. I knew right away that I wanted a smaller college and would benefit from the hands-on experience. It was also important for me to have personal relationships with my professors. I knew the instructors at Penn College would know my name."
