Kathy is a global strategic sourcing specialist for Restek Corp., a manufacturer of chromatography columns, sample preparation and collection products, reference standards, and instrument accessories. It provides tools to monitor the quality of air, water, soil, foods, botanicals, pharmaceuticals, and chemical and petroleum products. She says: "I have one son who is married with two sons of his own, and that makes me a grandma! I enjoy spending time with my family. I'm working full time and traveling, and have no plans to retire yet." She resides in Clearfield.

She married her college sweetheart, Andrew Smith '18, aviation technology and applied management, on Sept. 25, 2021, at Edgewood Country Club in Drums.
