Generous donors establish 40 new scholarships

Impact Report 2023-24
In 2023-24, Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Penn College Foundation awarded scholarships to 660 students, totaling $1,629,203. Forty new scholarships were established through Penn College and the foundation. Twenty-one are endowed funds.
- Anstadt Family Scholarship benefits non-traditional-aged students enrolled in any electrical program.
- Chae (Yim) Blauser Memorial Scholarship benefits new students with financial need who are from Pennsylvania and enrolled in welding technology or welding & fabrication engineering technology.
- Donetta S. Brandt Scholarship benefits students with financial need enrolled in any program.
- Patrick Butler Scholarship benefits students with financial need who are enrolled in a computer information technology or cyber security major.
- Climatec, A Bosch Company Corporate Scholarship benefits Climatec employees, interns or dependents of employees who are enrolled in any building automation engineering program and have completed two years of study.
- Coterra Energy Camp Freedom Scholarship benefits students in any major who are veterans or first responders and have participated as a guest at Camp Freedom.
- Darwin and Michael Ditty Memorial Scholarship benefits Pennsylvania residents enrolled in the diesel technology associate degree program.
- Betty A. “Betsy” and David G. Dodge Family Scholarship benefits students with financial need in the schools of Engineering Technologies or Nursing & Health Sciences who have completed two or more semesters of study.
- Sam and Pauline Fry Memorial Scholarship benefits students enrolled in architecture.
- Geisinger Gap Scholarship benefits students in the School of Nursing & Health Sciences who have financial need and are from the following counties: Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Dauphin, Juniata, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Lycoming, Mifflin, Monroe, Montour, Northumberland, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Union or Wyoming.
- Erik M. Hausmann Memorial Scholarship benefits students in any electrical program.
- Ken and Kristie Healy Foundation Scholarship benefits students who are enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree program in manufacturing and are Pennsylvania or New York residents.
- Dr. Richard C. and Mrs. Rebecca A. Hornberger Family IT Scholarship benefits first-generation college students who are enrolled in information assurance & cyber security, network administration & engineering technology, information technology: network & user support, or software development & information management and are from Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry or York counties.
- Michael J. Hudock Sr. Memorial Scholarship benefits first-generation college students with financial need who graduated from Williamsport Area High School or Palmerton Area High School.
- William G. Knecht Engineering Scholarship benefits Pennsylvania residents enrolled in polymer engineering or automated manufacturing & machining.
- Leviton Manufacturing Co. Inc. Scholarship benefits students in polymer engineering, automation engineering technology, mechatronics technology, or electrical technology who are from one of the following counties: Adams, Berks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Perry or York.
- Marty Fund for Veterans Annual Scholarship benefits veteran or contracted ROTC students with unmet financial needs.
- North Penn Model A Ford Club Annual Scholarship benefits students from Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Lancaster, Montgomery or Philadelphia counties in the automotive restoration certificate program.
- Philadelphia Candy Show Scholarship benefits students who have participated in at least one Retail Confectioners Association of Philadelphia National Candy, Gift & Gourmet Show and are enrolled in any of the following majors: baking & pastry arts, culinary arts technology, applied management, or professional baking.
- Polymer Promise Scholarship benefits new students enrolled in polymer engineering technology or polymer technology.
- Polymer Promise – Brentwood Industries Scholarship benefits new students enrolled in polymer engineering technology or polymer technology.
- Polymer Promise – Chase Plastics Scholarship benefits new students enrolled in polymer engineering technology or polymer technology.
- Polymer Promise – Sekisui Kydex Scholarship benefits new students enrolled in polymer engineering technology or polymer technology.
- Polymer Promise – Trinseo Scholarship benefits new students enrolled in polymer engineering technology or polymer technology.
- John H. Reichard Scholarship benefits Pennsylvania residents who have completed two semesters in polymer engineering, accounting & business administration or landscape/plant production technology.
- Joann S. Rishel Memorial Scholarship benefits students in business administration.
- Kenny Ritter Scholarship benefits students enrolled in diesel technology who have completed at least two semesters at Penn College.
- Kate Roan Scholarship benefits full-time horticulture students with unmet financial need. First preference is given to Lycoming County residents, and second preference to Tioga County residents.
- Rich Roan Memorial Scholarship benefits full-time business students with unmet financial need. First preference is given to Lycoming County residents, and second preference to Northern Tier residents.
- Zachary Dean Roan Memorial Scholarship benefits students enrolled full-time in radiography or physician assistant programs. First preference is given to Bradford County residents, and second preference to Tioga County residents.
- David Sitler Ruckle & Doris Snyder Ruckle Scholarship benefits Pennsylvania residents enrolled in emergency management & homeland security, information assurance & cyber security, or nursing & health sciences. Preference is given to students who are veterans, are in active military service, or are dependents of veterans killed in the line of duty, currently serving in active military duty or have completed a program at Camp Freedom in Carbondale.
- William H. “Bill” Smith Scholarship benefits students enrolled in automotive restoration or collision repair who have a demonstrated financial need.
- Jean McMahon Soars Endowed Scholarship benefits female students enrolled in manufacturing engineering technology who have completed two semesters of study.
- William and Evelyn Stanley Scholarship benefits radiography students who have successfully completed two semesters.
- Roy and Yvonne Stiger Memorial Scholarship benefits non-traditionally aged veteran or military students who are enrolled in residential construction, electrical, HVAC, or nursing & health sciences and are Lycoming County residents.
- George W. Venti Jr. Memorial Scholarship benefits students in aviation maintenance technology or aviation technology who are eligible for financial aid.
- Francis V. & Elizabeth Keyte Fulmer Bressler & Paul H. Vogel Sr. Business & Plumbing Memorial Scholarship benefits students in any accounting or business administration program or plumbing certificate students.
- Paul H. & Connie Stugard Vogel Electrical Construction and Electrical Technology Scholarship benefits students entering their sophomore year who are enrolled in electrical construction or electrical technology. First preference is given to residents of Lycoming County.
- Susan and Michael Wert Endowed Scholarship benefits students with financial need who are enrolled in any program.
- Todd and Brenda Wivell Endowed Scholarship benefits students with financial need who are enrolled in any aviation, diesel or nursing program and are from Tioga, Potter or Bradford counties.
