Q&A with Milwaukee Tool

WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT THE INDUSTRY YOU SERVE?

Our customers, product offerings and ability to solve end user solutions excites me the most!

WHAT DO YOU APPRECIATE MOST ABOUT YOUR COMPANY'S CULTURE/MISSION?

I truly believe that the communication from top to bottom is truly emphasized and communicated thoroughly to our employees, partners, and end users. Everyone is always willing to help and create a better work environment overall!

HOW DID YOUR COMPANY FIRST CONNECT WITH PENN COLLEGE?

We connected through our local distributors. Two of these are Schaedler Yesco and Cooper Electric (Friedman), both located in Williamsport.

WHY DO YOU BELIEVE PENN COLLEGE IS A SOUND INVESTMENT? WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR RETURN?

Milwaukee invests in our trade schools out of goodwill. We are involved more for the relationship aspect than the selling aspect. We believe that if we have a good presence with the students while they are in school, it will translate to them using our products long term out in the field. We always want them to know that Milwaukee cares and is here to provide support from the start.

WHAT QUALITIES DO YOU VALUE MOST WHEN RECRUITING PENN COLLEGE STUDENTS AND ALUMNI?

We are not primarily focused on recruiting students. However, if a student is very interested in working for the company, we can always explain the hiring process.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU SHARE WITH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO ARE CONSIDERING PENN COLLEGE?

My personal recommendations would be to stay consistent with their school work, stay out trouble, and get involved with school-related activities.

Industry Connections

"Milwaukee is truly focused on our trade school's students. We want to have a presence and provide the support from the time they are initially learning about the trades until the last day they work in the field."
