Seniors present their final architectural designs in college gallery

On the eve of their Saturday commencement ceremony, 12 students completing their bachelor’s degrees in architecture & sustainable design presented their culminating works in The Gallery at Penn College. The reception included family members, faculty, classmates, alumni and industry professionals. Each graduating senior was tasked with the design and development of a significant building in a location of their choice.

Gallery to host capstone work of senior architecture students

Graduating seniors in the architecture and sustainable design major at Pennsylvania College of Technology will showcase their capstone projects at The Gallery at Penn College from May 10 to 13. A reception for “Architecture & Sustainable Design: Senior Capstone Projects” is set for 4 to 6 p.m. (with remarks at 4:30 p.m.) on Friday, May 10, in the gallery, on the third floor of The Madigan Library. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

Local builders association supports students’ upcoming travel

Pennsylvania College of Technology students who are set to compete at the International Builders Show this month were hosted recently by the West Branch Susquehanna Builders Association, which presented the students with a check for $3,500 to offset the cost of their competition and travel expenses. The students are members of the Penn College Construction Association. Each year, the association sends students to the show, where they compete in the National Association of Home Builders Student Competition.
