Interpretation of the history of ethics in physical therapy and the Standards of Ethical Conduct for the Physical Therapist Assistant as they relate to clinical practice, including decision-making models for solving ethical dilemmas. Laws related to malpractice, liability, payment for physical therapy services, privacy, and suspected abuse of vulnerable individuals are discussed, as well as reporting mechanisms for suspected violations. Spring Only.
