Paramedic Field Internship

Summative field experience that allows the paramedic student to demonstrate the ability to function as an entry level paramedic in the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains by successfully treating a minimum of 50 ALS-level patients in the prehospital setting. Students in this semester move from the team member to the team leader role and direct the prehospital care team. Students must also successfully complete a summative cognitive and psychomotor assessment during this course. Participation requirements: 480 clock hours (minimum) of field assignment.
