Elementary Statistics with Computer Applications

Introduction of frequently applied statistical methods. Topics include graphical summaries, descriptive statistics, linear regression and correlation, elementary probability, binomial and normal distributions, sampling distributions and the Central Limit Theorem, and confidence intervals and tests of hypotheses for one and two samples. Computer applications include the use of plots, application of standard methods to real data, in-depth exploration of data, simulation as a learning tool, and screening data for errors.
