Engineering Mechanics II

CET213

Study of stresses and strains in structural members and analysis of particle and rigid body motion in two and three dimensions. Strength of materials concepts explored include stress and strain due to applied loads, combined stresses, thermal change, stress concentration, engineering materials and properties, internal shear and moment of beams, and shear and moment diagrams. Dynamics concepts explored include kinematics; use of force/mass/acceleration, work/energy, and impulse/momentum methods; and collision of elastic bodies. Spring Only.
