Clinical Kinesiology

PTA121

Exploration of human movement, including the joint mechanics and muscle performance necessary for functional movements. Anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal, nervous, circulatory, and respiratory systems as well as common pathologies are discussed to understand their impact on an individual’s ability to create purposeful movement for both simple and complex motions. Musculoskeletal control of human gait as well as phases of gait are explored in normal and abnormal conditions. Spring Only.
