Elementary Algebra II
MTH006
Study designed for students with a limited background in algebra in preparation for MTH 180. Topics include systems of linear equations, polynomial division and special products, factoring, rational expressions, radical expressions, quadratic equations and application problems. Emphasis on math study skills. Technology is used to enhance thinking and understanding, to solve problems and to judge/verify results. Verbal, numerical, graphical and symbolic approaches assist in the discovery and communication of mathematical concepts. Course does not satisfy any course or elective requirement, regardless of academic major.
