Industrial Motor Control

ELT227

Introduction to industrial three-phase electrical motor control and design of control schemes. Focus on electro-mechanical devices and related electrical power systems interfaced to control three-phase motors. Application of three-phase motor branch circuit design including control schemes, various electrical power devices, control devices, electrical power systems, electrical panel hardware, and guidelines from the National Electrical Code (NEC). Coursework includes control wire installation, troubleshooting, and logic operation of electrical motor control systems and relay ladder logic diagrams.
