Program Overview

Intro-MECH is aligned to eight different NIMS Industrial Technology Maintenance (ITM) credentials and prepares individuals for careers as maintenance technicians. This training covers four core mechatronics competencies: 

  • Mechanical Systems, 
  • Fluid Power – Hydraulics/Pneumatics, 
  • Electrical Systems, and 
  • Electrical Controls (PLCs & VFDs).

Upon completion of the program, participants receive their journey worker papers from the US Department of Labor or the PA Department of Labor & Industry.
