This workshop offers fundamental knowledge of plastics (polymers) and covers their processing, testing, and characterization. Gain skills in understanding how plastic material testing can enhance plastic product design and processing considerations. The fundamentals of polymer structure and its impact on polymer properties are also covered.

Hands-on sessions demonstrate the determination of key data sheet properties, including melt index, tensile strength, and impact resistance. The workshop includes introductions to various polymer processing techniques such as injection molding, extrusion, rotational molding, vacuum forming, and extrusion blow molding.

Very informative, this workshop filled in many knowledge gaps, both in theory and in practical applications.
