Pursuing an associate degree in Aviation Maintenance, Automotive, Collision Repair, or Diesel Technology at Penn College? You may be are eligible for the Transportation Scholars Program and a scholarship of up to $10,000 per year, renewable for up to two years.
Application Process
The selection of scholars will be based on academic merit, financial need, and the potential to excel in one of the targeted programs.
Incoming students who wish to be considered for the Transportation Scholars Program must submit:
- The Penn College Application
- The Penn College Scholarship Application by March 1 of each year
- The Transportation Scholars Program application by May 1, 2024
- A completed FAFSA
- The Penn College Financial Aid Authorization (FAA) form
- High school transcripts
- An essay detailing why you should be selected for this program
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher, administrator, or supervisor
Continued Eligibility
In order to maintain the scholarship award from the first to the second year, Transportation Scholars must:
- Continue to demonstrate financial need based on the FAFSA
- Maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA
- Maintain reasonable participation (75%+ attendance) in Transportation Scholar Program cohort activities
