Douglas M. Puckly Memorial Scholarship
Awarded by Karen Puckly
Doug was passionate about working with his hands and being immersed in nature. He was a highly skilled and respected member of the logging and forestry industry for over 30 years. While in High School, Doug challenged his daughter to learn how to weld, which lead her down the path of furthering her education and pursuing a career in welding. His daughter graduated from Penn College in 2017 with a degree in Welding and Fabrication Engineering Technology and now works for BAE Systems in York, PA. Aside from being known for his love of the woods, whether it be for work or for pleasure, Doug was adamant about supporting and helping those around him, regardless of the situation at hand. This scholarship was established in memory of Doug.
