The Authority takes pride in the relationships they have built with the local waste haulers and will assist customers in their selection of a waste hauler for their business or home project needs. The Clinton County Solid Waste Authority (CCSWA) has opened the region's first public accessible fast fill Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling station at the Wayne Township Landfill, located in Clinton County, PA. A five track rail siding has been constructed off the Norfolk Southern rail line which goes through the Wayne Township Landfill's (WTL) property in McElhattan, PA. The rail siding gives the WTL another transportation option for incoming and outgoing materials. Since WTL is also located next to the Clinton County Industrial Park, the rail siding will also give the local businesses an opportunity to ship or receive their commodities directly by rail. Companies involved in the development of the Marcellus shale play may also see a benefit utilizing this facility. The Authority employs a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to assist with the day to day operations of the Wayne Township Landfill. We use Trimble Global Positioning Systems to perform real time kinematic surveys referenced to the Pennsylvania State Plane coordinate system.
