Pennsylvania College of Technology is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE or the Commission). Pennsylvania College of Technology's accreditation status is Accreditation Reaffirmed. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on June 23, 2022 was to reaffirm accreditation.
MSCHE is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidate status) activities for institutions of higher education including distance, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission’s geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States

Workforce Development
Workforce Development Activity (July 1, 2023–June 30, 2024)
Workforce Development served a total of 4,425 participants in over 600 unique organizations from 41 states, 2 districts/territories, and 27 countries in clean energy, apprenticeship, healthcare, advanced manufacturing (including plastics), computer skills, transportation, and business/leadership classes.
MIDAS
MIDAS (Modular Industry-Driven Apprenticeship Strategies), a U.S. Department of Labor $7,996,530 federal grant to scale apprenticeship in advanced manufacturing fields, ended July 2024. With partner organizations The Tennessee Board of Regents and Brightpoint Community College/CCWA, 4,208 apprentices and pre-apprentices with 168 employers in 26 states and Puerto Rico have been trained.
AMP
AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship), the longest-running PA registered pre-apprenticeship, enrolled 135 high school and out-of-school youth from 21 schools across the state. Since 2018, 307 pre-apprentices from 44 schools have participated.
PIRC
The Plastics Innovation & Resource Center (PIRC) worked with 64 companies from 18 states to complete 30 R&D projects, train 154 employees in workshops, and upskill 26 apprentices.
Penn College at Wellsboro
Penn College at Wellsboro graduated 5 Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), bringing the total graduating to 505 since 1983, and 48 EMTs in Lycoming, Union, and Tioga Counties, with NREMT test pass rates higher than PA and national averages.
WEDnetPA
Through Pennsylvania’s WEDnetPA program, the College, serving as fiscal agent for the state-wide program, administered workforce development grants for 703 companies and over 24,000 trainees.
Clean Energy Center
Clean Energy Center provided accredited Home Energy Professional training, certification, and workforce readiness programs as part of $13.6M in contracts with PA Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) for Weatherization Training and Technical Assistance.
