Just like Hollywood, Pennsylvania College of Technology's Office of Instructional Technology and Distance Learning is sharing the spotlight with other nationally recognized media producers. Penn College's team of multimedia producers has been presented an Award of Distinction in the 2000 Communicator Awards competition.
Shawn M. Strohman and Jami O. DiMichele were chosen as the 2001 Homecoming King and Queen recently at Pennsylvania College of Technology, raising $1,120 for charity in the process. Students "voted" for Homecoming King and Queen by placing money in the jars of their favorite candidates among 21 nominees. Strohman and DiMichele raised the most funds and were named Homecoming King and Queen.

A man who went undercover to infiltrate the Neo-Nazi movement in Germany will speak about his experiences in "In Hitler's Shadow," the initial program of the Spring 2001 Lecture Series at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The Thursday, Feb. 15, lecture by Yaron Svoray, a former Israeli commando, will be presented at 8 p.m. at Penn's Inn in the Bush Campus Center at Penn College.
Pennsylvania College of Technology will culminate its Fourth Annual Homecoming Week on Saturday, Feb. 3, by crowning a Homecoming King and Queen at the Homecoming Dance. The announcement of the king and queen will be one of the highlights of a week's worth of Homecoming events at Penn College. The Homecoming Dance, which will feature music by the band Inspired, will take place from 8 p.m.
Commemorating National Book Month, authors from Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Williamsport community will speak about their experiences writing, preparing manuscripts, contacting publishers and working with editors in a program scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the College Library. The event, which begins at 1:15 p.m., is expected to last approximately 45 minutes.
