A $134,000 gift from The Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation of Harrisburg has increased the foundation’s total scholarship support to Pennsylvania College of Technology students to more than $3.7 million. Student recipients who meet selection criteria established by the college receive $5,000 per year – for up to four years – from the Stabler Scholarship Fund, the largest at the college.

Before starting her final semester this past week, Lauryn A. Stauffer returned to Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School while on holiday break as part of the "Rep Penn College" program coordinated by the Admissions Office. Under the initiative, begun during the 2021-22 academic year, students are provided training and supplies to take on the road for potential recruitment of future Wildcats.

Four landscape/plant production technology students at Pennsylvania College of Technology have been awarded a total of $9,500 in 2022-23 scholarships from the PLNA Foundation. The Penn College recipients are Sophia G. Wiest, of Butler, $3,000; Ian A. Folsom, of Williamsport, and Grace E. Maneval, of Montgomery, $2,500 each; and Erin S. Carey, of Lewisburg, $1,500.

WELLSBORO, Pa. – Excellent career opportunities for licensed practical nurses exist in area hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, personal care facilities, and human service organizations. Penn College at Wellsboro’s Practical Nursing Program will host three information sessions for those considering nursing as a career: Jan. 19, Feb. 2 and Feb. 15, all at 6:30 p.m.

A global manufacturing company’s generosity will enhance the hands-on education of Pennsylvania College of Technology students. Advanced Metallurgical Group recently donated more than $25,000 worth of industrial items – including gears, bearings, solenoids and air control valves – to benefit Penn College’s School of Engineering Technologies.
