Three Pennsylvania College of Technology students are among nine college students from across the nation who were selected to compete in the final bake-off of the third annual America's Best Raisin Bread Contest. The graduating college class of 2010, like the previous two graduating classes,is facing a challenging job market. According to a 2009 survey from the National Association of Colleges and Employers, only 19.7 percent of that year's graduates who applied for a job had one by the time they graduated. That's in contrast to 51 percentin 2008!

Pennsylvania College of Technology's Student Government Association is leading an effort to establish a scholarship fund in memory of a student who died in a traffic accident earlier this year. Two Pennsylvania College of Technology students each have been awarded $2,500 scholarships from the Electrical Generating Systems Association, the eighth straight year in which at least one honoree has been chosen from the institution.
