Members of the Health Sciences Living-Learning Community enjoy a night out with their faculty adviser at Faxon Lanes. Students ham it up during the fun, community-building break from campus and homework. The School of Health Sciences Living/Learning Community is well under way again this academic year.

A member of the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation Board of Directors and his wife have created a scholarship at the college. Ray Mattie, a 1984 alumnus, and his wife, Michelle, established the Mattie Family Scholarship at Penn College.

Students' library display honors surgical technologists. Gathering in celebration The surgical technology program in Penn College’s School of Health Sciences celebrated National Surgical Technologist Week – Sept. 16-21 – by setting up an educational display on the ground floor of the Madigan Library and sharing a celebratory lunch. Surgical technologists are vital members of the surgical team.

Tara M. Powell Outside hitter Tara M. Powell, of Burgettstown, was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference women’s volleyball Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 16.  In four games, Powell racked up 35 kills and 37 digs for the Wildcats.
