Senior Vice President William J. Martin announces the following clarification regarding the just-issued revision to the current academic calendar: Friday, Dec. 21, will be a workday for employees (not faculty). Normally, the college closes early the last day before holiday recess; the timing of that closure will be announced as the date approaches.

In January 2007, Pennsylvania College of Technology President Davie Jane Gilmour announced that the college was implementing an online refresher course in harassment prevention for all full-time and regular part-time employees who had attended the in-person training during or prior to 2003-04; this started a three-year cycle of online refresher training.

Richards, associate professor of physics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, gave a talk at the spring conference of the American Association of Physics Teachers (Central Pennsylvania Section). His presentation was titled "Tablet PC Technology Within a Traditional Classroom Environment." The conference was held at Penn State York.
Mark A. Paternostro, associate vice president for academic services at Pennsylvania College of Technology, was recently nominated for inclusion in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers and Educators" for the fourth consecutive year. His biography will appear in the 11th edition of the book, which honors teachers who have been nominated by former students.
