Postponements Give Penn College Short Week

On-court basketball losses to Alfred (N.Y.) University started the week for Pennsylvania College of Technology and postponements because of snow ended the week for the wrestling and women’s basketball teams.



FLASHBACK
Men’s Basketball
On the road Dec. 8 at Alfred, N.Y., the Wildcats stayed close through 10 minutes of action before Alfred opened a 55-36 halftime lead and then exploded in the second half for a 115-61 victory. Bryce Lonsway, of Tiffin, Ohio, led Penn College with nine points as it dropped to 1-8 overall.

Women’s Basketball
Alfred opened a 14-4 early lead, led 43-17 at the intermission and went on for a 101-44 win on Dec. 8. Danielle Mowery, of Shamokin, scored 13 points to pace the Penn College offense. Addie Jordan, of Muncy Valley, pulled down 11 rebounds for the Wildcats as they fell to 1-8 on the season.

Saturday’s scheduled home game with Elmira (N.Y.) College was postponed and rescheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 12.

Wrestling
The Wildcats’ scheduled match for Saturday was postponed with no makeup date yet set. Penn College is off to an 0-5 overall and 0-1 Penn State University Athletic Conference start.
