Construction Management Students Tops in Safety, Third Overall at Nationals

Nelson, of New Tripoli.A team of Penn College students placed third in the Associated Builders and Contractors National Construction Management Competition held April 30-May 3 in Birmingham, Ala. Students went head-to-head in three areas: project management/scheduling, estimating and safety; in addition to its overall performance, the Penn College team took top honors in the safety category. “This competition gives the nation’s top construction management students an opportunity to showcase their talents, while providing them a real-life glimpse into the world of construction,” said Greg Hoberock, the ABC's 2013 national chairman. “The students all displayed great dedication and determination throughout the competition and were inspiring to watch.” Ohio State and Florida International universities finished first and second overall, respectively.
