Jeremy L. ThorneJeremy L. Thorne, a landscape/horticulture technology: landscape emphasis major from Sugarloaf, has been chosen as Pennsylvania College of Technology's final "Student of the Month" for the Spring 2012 semester.

Active president of the Horticulture Club and recently elected as the Student Government Association's vice president of finance, Thorne was described by his nominator as a hard-working student who "never gets anything in return for as much as he does."

"The main thing that stood out to me was, during the Alternative Spring Break trip, when Jeremy said he would like to get to know more people on campus and through the school, so he decided to go on the trip," the student nominator continued. "He really opened up as a person and is a good leader, as well as a role model. He has a very strong work ethic and loves to put all of his efforts into his work."

The Student of the Month is selected numerous times each academic year based on commitment, service, role-model behavior, academics, leadership and campus involvement.
