Penn College Golfers Fifth After First Round

After Monday's first round of the Penn State University Athletic Conference-United States Collegiate Athletic Association golf championships, Penn College was fifth overall. Among PSUAC colleges, it was third. Craig Flint of Port Allegany led the Wildcats with an opening-round 76 on Penn State's Blue Course and was tied for fifth place. Also for Penn College, Dan Krammer (Burlington, Conn.) shot a 79 and was 11th, Eric Schall (Jersey Shore) shot an 80 and was tied for 14th, Dean Bell (Schwenksville) had an 88 and was tied for 41st and Kurt Linhart (Zionsville) shot a 90 and was tied for 49th. First-day team scores were: Rochester College, 307; Penn State Wilkes-Barre, 315; Newport New Apprentice, 315; Penn State Mont Alto, 320; Penn College, 323; Penn State, New Kensington 334; University of Dallas, 347; Penn State Hazleton, 349; New Hampshire Technical Institute, 355; Penn State Lehigh Valley, 356; Penn State Schuylkill, 370; and Penn State Greater Allegheny, 394.
