In the first-game win, Lauren Fuller (South Williamsport), Lisa Miller (Cogan Station) and Kristin Bernard (Mifflin) each had three hits in an 18-hit attack. In the nightcap, the Wildcats were limited to three hits and lost. In its second outing, Penn College split at home against the Elmira (N.Y.) College Jayvee squad. In the opener, Fuller and Jayme Mease (Elizabethtown) each went 2-for-3 at the plate and pitcher Tiffany Deihm (Mohnton) improved to 2-0 on the season. In the second game, Mease added two more hits and Trisha Moser went 3-for-4 at the plate, but it wasn't enough. Against NCAA Division III crosstown rival Lycoming College, the Wildcats couldn't get untracked and suffered back-to-back losses. In the first game, Lauren Fuller had two doubles and Lisa Miller one as Penn College led 1-0 after three innings before Lycoming came back. In the second game, Lycoming used a 13-run outburst in the third inning to blow the game open. Deihm was the losing pitcher for the Wildcats in both games.
