Warren Linn Exhibit Opens Nov. 2 at The Gallery at Penn College

The Gallery at Penn College on the main campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology will host "LeftRight," a collection of artwork by Warren Linn, from Nov. 2-26.
An opening reception will take place Tuesday, Nov. 2, from 3:30 to 6 p.m., with an artist's talk scheduled at 4 p.m. Both the opening and the talk are free and open to the public.
After the opening, viewing hours for the show will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 6 p.m., or by appointment. The Gallery will host additional viewing hours Nov. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m., in conjunction with the city's First Friday event. The Gallery at Penn College is in Room 202 of the Bush Campus Center.
Linn has exhibited and done illustrative work since 1969. He has a bachelor of fine arts degree in painting and printmaking from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago.
He has worked for major print a nd media clients and exhibited in a wide range of gallery venues for more than 35 years. Highlights include a 21-by-156-foot mural for CBS Records International Biennial meeting and the HarperCollins children's book "Happy Birthday, Frankie" by Sarah Weeks. The book contains 23 collages and was awarded the Marion Vannett Ridgway Honor Book Award.
Linn's work has also appeared in The New York Times, Newsweek, Esquire, the Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe and Rolling Stone.
Linn is a full-time instructor at the Maryland Institute College of Art. He also taught at Parsons School of Design for 16 years and at Rhode Island School of Design in 1996-97. His work is in numerous private collections and in the Art Institute of Chicago's print and drawing collection.
