The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., in conjunction with Pennsylvania College of Technology, will conduct its annual Safety Day and Expo at the College on Thursday, Jan. 27.
Developed by ABC's Safety Committee, the full day of classes will include welding safety; Material Safety Data Sheet/Hazcom; Occupational Safety and Health Administration-focused construction inspections; PA One Call (before you dig); aerial-lift safety; trenching/excavating; forklift safety; and accident investigation.
All of the classes, which will run one hour each, will be offered at two different times during the day.
In addition, vendors of safety equipment, supplies and services will participate as exhibitors at the event, which will run from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the College's Thompson Professional Development Center.
The fee to attend is $15 per person for ABC members and students and $25 for nonmembers. Penn College students may attend for free.
Registration fees include classes, attendance cards, handouts, coffee and doughnuts at registration and one raffle ticket for a prize drawing.
