A grid-tied photovoltaic installation added to the Pennsylvania College of Technology campus in 2009-10 is reducing the carbon footprint of The Victorian House, a guest facility designed and built by students, faculty and staff to serve as a learning laboratory for hospitality classes.

Funding from a Solar Scholars grant awarded by the Sustainable Energy Fund supported the installation.
