Bus Mechanic Apprenticeship (BmapPA)

The Bus Mechanic Apprenticeship Program for PA (BmapPA) is a in-development apprenticeship initiative designed to address the critical shortage of skilled bus mechanic technicians across Pennsylvania's public transportation sector through our partnership with the Pennsylvania Public Transit Association and PennTRAIN.

Emissions Inspector Training

Prepare to become Pennsylvania certified to test vehicles for exhaust emissions. This one day course will cover the skills you need to be a certified emissions inspector.

Lycoming Engines Service School

The Lycoming Engines Service School training program is designed to assist maintenance professionals, pilots, aircraft owners, and experimental aircraft builders in acquiring a better understanding of their engine and systems. Penn College is solely authorized by Lycoming Engines to conduct the Lycoming Engines Service School. The 5-day, 40 hour program will consist of 4 hours of theory-based training and 4 hours of hands-on training each day. The training hours in this program can be used for qualification for the IA renewal program FAR 65.93(a)(4).

Penn College students to serve, learn at World Series

Among the huge assembly of people required to welcome 20 teams and around 300,000 fans to the Little League Baseball World Series in South Williamsport are Pennsylvania College of Technology students and staff. Baking and culinary students and staff from the college’s Le Jeune Chef Restaurant are set to prepare meals for the competing teams, while paramedic students will help provide for the emergency medical needs of the thousands of spectators who attend each of the nationally televised series’ 38 games.
